WBD Sports team is seeking a Planner to join the Sport Travel Services team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Sports Services. This is a key role proactively supporting the team, taking responsibility for crucial administration tasks to ensure the team is able to function efficiently. This role will be required to work across the Paris 2024 Olympic Games as well as other ‘ ‘Business As Usual’ (BAU) sports. The successful applicant will have excellent attention to detail, experience of a fast-paced environment and demonstrate administrative and organisational skills.

This role is a maternity cover contract to start ASAP until end October 2024.

You must be able to travel with WBD Sports to Paris and work onsite during the Olympic Games (Onsite dates: 15 July – 12 August 2024).

Your New Role...

WBD Sports team is seeking a Planner to join the Sport Travel Services team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Sports Services. This is a key role proactively supporting the team, taking responsibility for crucial administration tasks to ensure the team is able to function efficiently. You must be able to travel with WBD Sports to Paris and work onsite during the Olympic Games (Onsite dates: 15 July – 12 August 2024).

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Proactively manage administrative tasks relating to logistics planning and overall strategy for all events, from planning to delivery

  • Create purchase orders and process invoices to ensure timely vendor payments

  • Reconciling budgets post-event

  • Work closely with Sports Travel Services team and assist with day-to-day tasks, such as rooming list management, flight bookings and car rentals

  • Confidently work onsite, assisting with Sports Travel Services responsibilities as well as with tasks required by Production Manager

  • Assist with the management of areas of planning related to Olympics and BAU

  • Testing and development of Games Management System

  • Manage Sports Travel Services inbox

Qualifications and Experience...

  • Experience in the broadcast industry and/or Olympic or Multi-Sport Events would be beneficial

  • Administration experience with a meticulous eye for detail and accuracy, confident working with large amounts of data

  • Ability to organise tasks effectively and deliver to a high standard on time. Prioritise and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to build relationships with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrates Initiative, proactivity and motivation and is comfortable working in a fast paced, constantly changing environment

  • Salesforce experience would be beneficial but is not essential
