Role Overview

As a core part of the Global Sports Sales and Account Management team, you will be responsible for driving direct sales and new business, as well as nurturing existing client accounts. This role will play an integral part in us achieving our ambitious plans to expand Global Sports further across the UK and internationally. The primary focus will be to deliver sales across existing products and channels,as well as being responsible for customer success, understanding how we can provide greater value to clients and providing excellent customer service.

commercially minded person who is passionate about the sports industry, and who wants to be part of a highly successful global Sales team.

Key Accountabilities

• Building, maintaining and managing a healthy qualified opportunity pipeline through process, analysis, insights, relationship building, educating and meeting client needs with our portfolio of digital advertising and talent solutions.

• Manage an opportunity through the full sales process, from initial lead generation or follow up, through to qualification, proposal and eventual closure.

• Delivering an annual revenue and gross profit margin target in line with the overall Sales team targets as set by the Sales Manager

• Be a subject matter expert on our services and solutions, understanding key market trends and how Global Sports can solve challenges for clients

• Ensuring the services and solutions sold are of the highest quality and in line with what the Global Sports delivery teams can deliver

• Create and deliver effective account plans for your existing clients, preparing appropriate reports and holding face-to-face meetings

• Producing high-quality proposal documents and presenting to clients a value proposition in an effective and inspiring manner

• Maintaining data quality and leveraging reporting tools in Hubspot and Click-Up to provide anaccurate perspective of current pipeline and overall activity levels

• Professionally conducting the full range of business development activities to support your objectives from telephone and desk research, to networking at events and face-to-face meetings

• Being a positive ambassador of Global Sports

Key Experience and Skills

• Hard-working and self-motivated individual with the ability to work off your own initiative and a strong desire to achieve.

• Strong influencing and negotiation skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.

• Proven sales experience where you have excelled - ideally B2B within the sports, recruitmentor media sectors

• Experience of cultivating and enhancing strong relationships with people (colleagues, clients and customers)

• Demonstrable experience of retaining and growing revenue through providing successful ROI to clients

• Experience with digital CRM tools (i.e. Hubspot) and approaches to manage, improve and optimise customer management processes

• Knowledge of the international sports environment is beneficial
